| Schindelhauer's flagship with the great Pinion P1.18 bottom bracket gearbox:
- 18 speeds.
- Equally fine gear steps of 11.5%, no overlaps.
- Enormous gear range of 636% (compare Rohloff 526%, mountainbike 3x10 speed about 550%).
- 1 twist shifter for quick and intuitive choice of gear.
- Very low maintenance, sealed and protected.
Wilhelm is always ordered Ă la carte: you can choose from all Pinion gearbox versions, you can have it as a "naked" bike or as shown with full touring and commuting equipment. You can choose color, saddle, handlebar and a lot more.
It should even be possible to build it as a 650B version vor extended touring capabilities - this allows for larger tires and brings even sturdier wheels.
This is my setup as shown:
- Gates Carbon Drive CDX belt. The Center Track version for best guidance, even at rather low tension.
- Pinion P1.18 gearbox
- Custom gold paint
- Schmidt dynamo lighting
- Tubus stainless front and rear racks
- Fenders
